Chaperone Policy

Chaperones:

If your consultation requires an intimate examination, primarily you have the absolute right to a chaperone, but also as importantly, it is imperative that you feel comfortable.

I will sometimes ask for a chaperone to give me a hand or to reassure you. This person will be specifically trained as a Chaperone and be DBS trained as well.

You are welcome to bring a trusted adult, friend, or family member into the consultation room with you.

If you do not have someone with you today but would prefer a chaperone, please let Dr Parkinson know. We will happily defer your examination to a scheduled day when a trained member of the clinic staff is present to assist.

Cancellations and Payments

Payment:

I will never contact you and ask for payment details over the phone or via email because I think this allows potential for scams. Payment please in person via card machine or bank transfer at the end of the consultation.

Cancellation Periods:

Please cancel your appointment at least 24 hours before to avoid fees:
Whilst emergencies will happen, non attendance or cancellation within 24 hours does block attendance for others so this will attract 100% of the appointment Fee.

Service Limitations

I sadly cannot provide instant emergency care. I will often take calls directly, but most often I will be in clinic so will return your call or message within a few hours and at most 24 working hours after your contact. I therefore cannot reliably provide Emergency Service: You should contact emergency services (999 or A&E) for acute conditions like severe chest pain, stroke symptoms, or severe breathing difficulties. Many thanks for your understanding.
